Engineering Support Associate

Reports To

The Engineering Support Associate will report to the Engineering Support Supervisor.

Job Summary

The Engineering Support Associate will work with all levels of the Engineering Team to complete various tasks. The Engineering Support Assoc. will be responsible for supporting the project management work.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Complete point to points by verifying wire connections from one device to another in the same panel on a wiring diagram
  • Produce device labels by taking information from each device label ID on the wiring diagram and entering that information to a Notepad file.
  • Manually type, use AutoCAD or Komax programs to complete wire markers
  • Enter information into the Term Strip template based on the information given by using special commands and steps in AutoCAD
  • Produce nameplates files in AutoCAD using Excel or creating from scratch
  • Draft or make changes to existing AutoCAD files
  • Scan provided drawings through a plotter in a specific order to a computer file
  • Differentiate between and be able to read different types of drawings, including structural, layout, wiring diagram, schematic, etc 
  • Point to Point control cable schedules and communication cable schedules

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently 
  • Attention to detail is paramount
  • Computer skills preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for the regular operation of a computer.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly.
  • Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
  • Possible exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards.

Project Manager

Reports To

The Project Manager will report to the Sr. Project Manager. 

Job Summary

The Project Manager will act as the company representative in tracking project schedules, budgeting, and project scope for the manufacturing of power management systems. These systems include protective relay panels, control systems, and control buildings for power generation, transmission, and distribution applications. The Project Manager will ensure the design meets the specifications detailed in the project.  

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Act as the company’s point of contact to customers regarding their projects.
  • Manage and maintain project budgets, schedules, and functional correctness.
  • Ensure projects are completed with the highest industry standards of quality.
  • Review others’ designs for accuracy.
  • Work with and contribute to the engineering team in accomplishing tasks as needed. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable engineering degree.
  • Engineering degree is preferred, however, candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience as a Project Manager are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office programs, Google and Wrike.  
  • Knowledge of CAD programs and Auto-CAD preferred.
  • Ability to supervise others and improve processes. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
